They have fiber-optic outputs and inputs, as well as the Japan version of the 7909 has a copper chassis, non-pullout chassis, and the blackout feature that the original US version did not have. The 3900 DAC also has a copper chassis as well. This setup will be used for SQ applications. It will be able to be covered up or removed and stored safely for SPL applications. :)

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_Bhkfhfpz5w4/Shnr3eWLJYI/AAAAAAAAADc/UYNjbrE3p7g/s320/ceee_3.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5339558171495835010" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Bhkfhfpz5w4/Shnr3e4RLOI/AAAAAAAAADU/RCG2fIkFpc4/s320/c7f3_3.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5339558171638836450" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_Bhkfhfpz5w4/Shnr3ErTHBI/AAAAAAAAADM/tkFU-jaTWI0/s320/c6db_3.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5339558164605115410" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Bhkfhfpz5w4/Shnr3OiuPJI/AAAAAAAAADE/Q9RPkys90-U/s320/c5de_3.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5339558167253499026" />

This is my SPL head unit: it is an Alpine 7949, which has a copper chassis as well, fiber optic outputs, and though it is not as awesome as the 7909J head unit, for SPL purposes, it will work quite well. :)

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 156px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_Bhkfhfpz5w4/Shnsm8oAmvI/AAAAAAAAADs/luLcbltAAuc/s320/7949face.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5339558987077556978" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 206px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_Bhkfhfpz5w4/ShnsmhLiEgI/AAAAAAAAADk/bZV3EMyVaDk/s320/7949.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5339558979710358018" />

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://mecasq.blogspot.com/2009/05/my-equipment-list-updated-regularly.html' title='My Equipment List... updated regularly... Below are the pics, with David Timmerman proudly displaying the coveted trophy. David lost out for his 2nd bid at the best in SQ in 2008 to Matt Roberts by only 1.3 pts. My goal is to win this trophy within the next 3 years. :) We will see how the process goes.

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 250px; height: 290px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Bhkfhfpz5w4/ShnxhcKR6QI/AAAAAAAAAD8/PYOZOTzc6Sw/s320/culbertsoncup2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5339564390021720322" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_Bhkfhfpz5w4/Shnxhf3MVQI/AAAAAAAAAD0/Rcg5eGoM7Fc/s320/culbertson+cup1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5339564391015404802" />

2009 Season Starts with 2008 World Finals

Attending the 2008 MECA World Finals, I was excited to see my competition for the 2009 season, and see some old friends that I had not seen in a few years.

I have alot of history with MECA, as I started competing in 1999 in MECA and dB Drag Racing, and I was bit by the sound-off competition bug.
